Mobula rays are one of the Sea of Cortez’s most spectacular wildlife encounters. While they can be seen year-round, the peak season runs from April through July. During this time, large groups of these graceful rays gather to feed and travel along the coast. Under the right conditions, they can also be seen leaping from the water in impressive synchronized displays. Their seasonal migration attracts snorkelers, photographers, and wildlife enthusiasts from around the world.

After checking in at our dive center at 8:00 AM, we’ll get you fitted with snorkel gear and wetsuits before heading to the marina. From there, we depart aboard our custom-built boats to search for mobula rays along the coastline, either north into the sea of cortez or south into the pacific ocean
Our crew monitors the ocean surface for mobula activity, looking for jumping rays and large schools near the surface. Once mobula rays are located, we enter the water carefully and respectfully, using our local knowledge to maximize your chances of an encounter.
Your guide will capture complimentary photos and videos during the tour. The excursion lasts approximately 2.5 hours and returns to the marina around lunchtime.
