This one-day experience includes a short training session and guided dive in the calm, clear waters of the Cabo San Lucas Marine Park—perfect for beginners. You’ll learn the basics, practice a few key skills, and head out to see tropical fish, colorful reefs, and maybe even a sea lion or two. It’s an unforgettable intro to scuba, led by experienced instructors who prioritize safety, comfort, and fun.
PADI Open Water Course
The PADI Open Water Course is your passport to dive the world. Over three days, you’ll complete pool training, four ocean dives, and online learning at your own pace. Training happens in our custom-built dive pool and the Cabo San Lucas Marine Park—ideal locations for mastering the fundamentals in warm, tropical conditions. You’ll finish the course certified to dive independently to 18m/60ft, unlocking a lifetime of underwater exploration. Small groups and highly trained instructors ensure a supportive and exciting first certification.
Open Water Referral Course
If you’ve already completed the academic and pool training for your PADI Open Water certification, this referral option lets you finish your course in the Sea of Cortez. Over two half-days, you’ll complete your four open water dives with one of our professional instructors, exploring the diverse marine life of the Cabo San Lucas Marine Park. It’s a great way to turn your vacation into a milestone certification. We also accept universal referrals from other training agencies.
PADI Advanced Open Water Course
Build skills, gain confidence, and go deeper with the Advanced Open Water Course. Over two days and five adventure dives, you’ll explore navigation, deep diving, and specialty options like peak performance buoyancy, fish ID, or wreck diving. No exams—just practical, guided learning in real dive environments. Sites will vary between the Cabo San Lucas Marine Park and Corridor. This course takes your diving to the next level while letting you discover what kind of diver you want to become.
PADI Rescue Diver Course
Serious, rewarding, and a lot of fun—the Rescue Diver Course is often a diver’s favorite. Across three days, you’ll learn how to prevent and respond to dive emergencies through a mix of theory, practical exercises, and realistic scenarios. You’ll develop confidence in your ability to manage stressful situations, assist other divers, and sharpen your own skills. A prerequisite for anyone looking to go pro, this course is taught by seasoned instructors in real-world conditions, right here in the Cabo San Lucas Marine Park.
PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Course
Diving with Enriched Air Nitrox lets you extend your bottom time and shorten surface intervals—especially useful for repeat dives. This half-day specialty course is mostly academic and can be completed online in advance, followed by a short in-person session. You’ll learn how to analyze nitrox tanks, plan dives with higher oxygen content, and manage exposure limits. Best of all, certified divers get free nitrox on all fun dives with Dive Cabo. It’s a smart, simple upgrade for any recreational diver.
PADI Underwater Navigation Course
Get better at finding your way underwater and become the diver everyone wants to follow. This one-day specialty course includes three dives focused on compass use, natural navigation techniques, and pattern-based search skills. You’ll also sharpen your awareness of depth, distance, and timing. Ideal for anyone working toward their Advanced or Rescue Diver certification, this course builds real confidence and situational awareness under the guidance of experienced pros.
PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Course
If you want to improve air consumption, control your movements more precisely, or get closer to marine life without disturbing the environment—this course is for you. Peak Performance Buoyancy is a one-day specialty focused entirely on improving how you move through the water. Through a mix of games, drills, and coaching, you’ll fine-tune your weighting, breathing, trim, and positioning. The result: smoother, easier dives and a more effortless underwater experience.
PADI Deep Diver Course
Ready to go deeper? The PADI Deep Diver Specialty teaches you how to safely plan and execute dives to 40 meters (130 feet)—the recreational limit. Across four deep dives in the Cabo San Lucas Marine Park and beyond, you’ll learn about gas management, narcosis, and buoyancy adjustments at depth. It’s ideal preparation for sites like Gordo Banks or wrecks that sit beyond 30 meters. If you’re an Advanced Open Water Diver or above, this course adds serious capability to your diving toolkit.
Emergency First Response Course
The Emergency First Response course is a vital step for any diver working toward Rescue Diver or professional certification. This one-day, land-based course focuses on primary and secondary care skills, including CPR, AED use, first aid, and emergency management. You’ll train using realistic scenarios and practice hands-on techniques in a supportive, low-pressure environment at our dive center in Cabo San Lucas. No dive certification is required, and the skills you learn can make a difference both in and out of the water.
