Since the waters of Cabo San Lucas can get crowded during whale season, we run our whale watching tours out of our sister shop, East Cape Explorers, in San José del Cabo. This quieter stretch of coastline offers a more relaxed and intimate experience — fewer boats, calmer seas, and a higher chance of uninterrupted encounters with humpbacks and other species. Your journey begins at our sister dive center East Cape Explorers, located in the marina of San José del Cabo. After a warm welcome and brief orientation, you’ll board a comfortable, shaded vessel designed for optimal wildlife viewing. As you cruise the calm waters of the Sea of Cortez, keep an eye out for breaching whales, tail slaps, and other captivating behaviors. With the onboard hydrophone, you’ll have the unique opportunity to listen to the hauntingly beautiful songs of humpback whales. Throughout the tour, your knowledgeable guide will share insights about whale behavior, migration patterns, and conservation efforts. After 2.5 hours of unforgettable encounters, you’ll return to the marina with memories and photos to cherish.
