PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty Course

The PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty trains you to master natural navigation, compass techniques, and distance estimation—so you always know where you are beneath the surface. This one-day, three-dive course is a must for any diver looking to lead with accuracy and awareness.

Your course begins with eLearning, which you’ll complete ahead of time at your own pace. On the day of the dive, you’ll meet your instructor at Dive Cabo and head into the Cabo San Lucas Marine Park for three boat dives focused on building your navigation skillset. You’ll learn to read the environment, use a compass underwater, estimate distance, and execute complex navigation patterns with confidence. Whether you’re leading a buddy or planning your own dives, this course equips you with tools to always find your way back to the boat.
Course Requirements / Prerequisites
- Must be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
- Minimum age: 10 years old
- Must complete PADI eLearning before dives
- Medically fit for diving (must complete and follow instructions outlined in the PADI medical form)
- Comfortable diving in open water
- 3 open water dives required for certification
Course Schedule:
Day 1: Navigation dives 1 and 2 from 13:00 – 17:00
Day 2: Navigation dive 3 from 13:00 – 17:00
