Ready to go deeper? The PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course at Dive Cabo trains you to dive confidently to depths of 40 meters (130 feet). Over two days and four dives, you’ll build the knowledge and skills needed to safely explore the deeper reefs and walls of the Cabo San Lucas Marine Park.

This two-day course begins each afternoon at the Dive Cabo center, where your instructor will guide you through deep dive theory, dive planning, and safety procedures. After gearing up, you’ll head into the Cabo San Lucas Marine Park to complete four dives across various deep sites, focusing on topics like gas narcosis, buoyancy control, and air consumption. You’ll practice deep navigation and observe how depth affects color, pressure, and your own perception. With expert guidance and full gear included, this is the course for divers who want to expand their limits—and do it right.
Course Requirements / Prerequisites
- Must be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
- Minimum age: 15 years old
- Must complete PADI eLearning before dives
- Medically fit for diving (must complete and follow instructions outlined in the PADI medical form)
- 4 dives required for certification (over 2 days)
Course Schedule:
Day 1: Deep dives 1 and 2 from 8:00 – 13:00
Day 2: Deep dives 3 and 4 from 8:00 – 13:00
