Discover Scuba Diving
First Time Divers
Take your first breath underwater and explore the vibrant reefs of Cabo San Lucas—no experience needed. Our Discover Scuba Diving program is perfect for first-time divers, offering one or two shallow dives in the calm, protected waters of the Cabo Marine Park. Led by certified instructors, you’ll learn basic scuba skills, practice on a sandy bottom, and swim alongside tropical fish, rays, and maybe even a sea lion or two.

Your Discover Scuba Diving adventure begins at 1 PM at our Cabo San Lucas dive shop, where your instructor will fit you with gear and walk you through the basics. After watching a short PADI video, you’ll head to the boat and receive a hands-on orientation covering underwater communication, safety, and the simple skills you’ll need for the dive.
Once at the dive site—a calm, shallow bay just 10 minutes from the marina—you’ll start in waist-deep water to get comfortable. After practicing a few simple skills on a sandy bottom, your instructor will guide you on an underwater tour filled with vibrant marine life like pufferfish, angelfish, sea stars, and more. Your second dive is all about exploration—no skills, just fun.
After returning to the dock, we’ll share your underwater photos and videos, free of charge.

Prerequisites
- Minimum age: 10 years
- Comfort in the water
- No prior dive experience required
- Medically fit for diving (must complete and follow instructions outlined in the PADI medical form)

- A deposit of $50 USD is required to secure your booking.
- Cancellation Policy
All add ons must be requested in advance:
- Passenger: $50 USD, availability dependent
- Private Instructor: $100 USD
- Transportation and Hotel PickUp available for a separate fee
Private Instruction
For a more personalized experience, you can add a private instructor to your Discover Scuba Diving tour for an additional $100 USD. It’s a great option if you’d prefer extra one-on-one support, want to go at your own pace, or are sharing the experience with friends or family. You can book this by chatting with our team.
