The waters of San José del Cabo have fewer boats and operators, so you have a higher chance of getting great interactions. This seasonal tour is perfect for adventurous travelers, marine life lovers, and underwater photographers.

This unique snorkeling experience begins with a 8:00 AM check-in at East Cape Explorers, located in the Puerto Los Cabos marina in San José del Cabo. After getting outfitted with your gear and receiving a safety briefing, you’ll board a custom-built boat and head out in search of mobula rays.
These animals, which can form schools of thousands, are often seen leaping out of the water in synchronized bursts. Once located, you’ll enter the water with your guide to observe them calmly and respectfully in their natural habitat. Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, turtles, and even orcas—which are occasionally spotted during mobula season. The safari usually returns by late morning, with photos and videos included.
